St John’s, Newfoundland: Afronautic Research Lab

The Afronautic Research Lab was in Newfoundland on September 10 2016 as part of the New-Found-Lands exhibition, curated by Pamela Edmonds and Bushra Junaid. The Afronauts excavated local and national histories and engaged the community in this ongoing consciousness-raising project. Check out this wonderful review in the Overcast!

The A. C. Hunter Public Library hosted the Afronautic Research Lab. Thanks to Ayoka Junaid who was a splendid Afronaut!

An excellent article on Dr Afua Cooper, who was the keynote speaker for the NewFoundLands event
