Wanted at the AGO!

Wanted at the AGO!

Wanted, created collaboratively with Camal Pirbhai is included in an AGO’s exhibirtion.

“Every.Now.Then: Reframing Nationhood, the museum’s response to this blithely nationalistic moment, and it makes clear the show’s driving force: to resituate the blip that is Canada in a gapingly broad continuum of both time and difference, with flag-waving pushed aside.” For Wanted we transformed fugitive slave ads revealing the story of Canadian slavery into contemporary fashion advertisements. The work is presented within the AGO show as a book showing 10 pieces in the series we created, a 4 story billboard at the McCaul Street entrance to the AGO and at Yonge Dundas Square on a videoboard!
